Title: Munday Swamp
Artist LoisHayes has transformed a Coolgardie safe from the Mundaring and Hills Historical  Society to make an insightful visual comment on a unique piece of Perth’s natural heritage:
Munday Swamp
Very high species richness:
87 bird species
20 reptile species including rare Crowned Snake Western Swamp Tortoise
8 frog species
2 mammal species – Quenda and Echidna
2 Western Australian endemic fish populations – Western Minnow and Western Pygmy Perch.
Seasonal food, habitat and breeding recourses for many bird species including; waterbirds, honey eaters Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo and northern migrants.
Now home for diverse industry including;  warehousing and distribution park, heavy machinery operations, rail freight terminal, international and domestic airport.
